Schitterend gelegen golfbaan. Wij hebben de Ostplatz gespeeld: een uitdagende, heuvelachtige baan met een aantal werkelijk geweldige holes. Een buggy is hier zeker aan te bevelen. Helaas mochten de buggy’s tijdens ons bezoek alleen op de paden rijden, waardoor we besloten hebben te lopen. Dat hebben we geweten; er zitten behoorlijk wat hoogtemeters in de baan. Het onderhoud is uitstekend. Over de hele baan zie je kleine maairobots aan het werk, waardoor alles er strak en verzorgd bij ligt. Het restaurant vonden wij wat sfeerloos. Daarnaast was er vóór 11.00 uur geen koffie verkrijgbaar en de service kwam op ons niet bijzonder enthousiast of gastvrij over. Al met al een prachtige baan die absoluut de moeite waard is om een keer te spelen.

Prachtige holes omsloten met oude bomen. Goed onderhouden. Een feestje!

Wat een prachtige baan. Ostplatz gespeeld. 1e negen heeft een heel ander karakter dan de 2e negen holes. Veel hoogte verschillen maken de baan heel bijzonder en spectaculair. 1e negen holes waren lang, 2e negen holes veel korter. Onderhoud was perfect. Bewegwijzering naar de volgende holes kan wel iets duidelijker

Though founded in 1961, GC Hubbelrath exudes the charm and tradition of a much older members’ club. While it’s primarily member-focused, guests are very welcome — and well rewarded with two distinctly different courses. The Ost Platz is a full-length, undulating par 72 that offers a true test of golf. Walking is possible, but for first-timers, a buggy is highly recommended — not just for the hills, but to scout the occasional blind shot. A good tip: play one tee forward from your usual spot for maximum enjoyment. There’s plenty of challenge, and you can always return to chase a low score. The West Platz, while shorter and without any par 5s, is no pushover and promises a fun follow-up round. We only had time to play the Ost, but a return visit for the West — and maybe a second loop on the Ost — is already on the list. The atmosphere in the clubhouse is warm and welcoming, with excellent food and a menu focused on local, seasonal ingredients. All in all, Hubbelrath is a fantastic place to spend a full day — or two, especially if you pair it with nearby Kosaido

Although somewhat hilly, the East Course at Hubbelrath is well walkable. Pretty much all holes are pleasant to the eye and pleasant to play. Green-keeping was excellent the day I visited this club - so all in all a very good experience. A detail to keep in mind: the buggies are programmed in such a way that they may not leave the cart paths to the right and to the left of fairways. This obliges players to walk quite a bit to reach their ball...
