About Golf de Loudun Fontevraud - Domaine de Roiffé
Ideally located between Fontevraud-l'Abbaye, Loudun, Saumur and Chinon, the Golf de Loudun-Fontevraud is located in the heart of the 120 hectares of the Domaine de Roiffé. Created in 1985 by the French architect Hubert Chesneau, this 18-hole golf course offers a simple and diversified course on more than 60 hectares, partly wooded and hilly. Reputedly long, it has some nice surprises in store, such as a prevailing headwind, a significant slope or a deep stone ditch. Its renovation in 2015 makes it a particularly pleasant course which goes between the forest of Fontevraud, the pond of the domain and the residences of the XIXth in stones of Tuffeau.

Golf de Loudun-FontevraudTerrain qui a souffert des chaleurs de cet été 2025, pas de chance : fairways tout sec, avec des bosses et des trous, la balle rebondit aléatoirement. Les greens sont entretenus. Parcours plat, large et tolérant pour les départs sans trop de précision. Avantage du resort hotel + restaurant + golf + piscine, on a tout au meme endroit. Très bon accueil.

Golf de Loudun-FontevraudGolfcourse is part of a big domaine with apartment’s. Practice facilities were very poor, driving range very bad with old balls. Course is very wide however if you miss the fairway you almost 100% lost your ball. Greens a teeboxes were good. Course has some nice holes and we enjoyed our visit. Restaurant waiter was not very friendly.

Golf de Loudun-Fontevraud1e 9 holes gespeeld. Fantasieloze platte baan met brede rechttoe rechtaan holes. Slecht onderhoud. Fairways zijn niet te onderscheiden van de semi-rough. Gras veel te lang en overal kuilen en pollen. Greens zijn pokdalig van de niet gerepareerde pitchmarks. Alleen holes 9 (vlak voor het terras) zag er goed uit.

Le parcours : Assez insignifiant surtout les 9 premiers trous = plat sans grande difficulté
Les 9 derniers trous sont plus golfiques mais ne permettent pas de rattraper les 9 premiers
Bien entretenu.
