Lakeside Golf Club

I'm perfectly happy to admit that this must've been a hiccup in the period of this course and with the people involved.

Upon arrival the shed that is used to pay greenfees, was deserted. No one around despite being 30 minutes after the supposed opening time.

After the man arrived, he said the grass on the course hadn't been cut for a while, because someone siphoned the petrol from the lawn mower... why they didn't just buy more, i have no idea.

The course itself was more or less ok, of course the grass was a but longer and so finding the ball in the first cut was more like a 3rd cut, but still, you could see it was usually maintained to a decent standard.

A full length 9 hole course, just off the M4 motorway and so quite accessible.

I hope that by now and in general the place is in better shape all round.

No clubhouse but there was an Indian restaurant on the same site with terraces overlooking the course.

Not very challenging, very few obstacles. But good for the beginner golfer
