Fingle Glen Golf Club

A decent setup that is only let down by the greens.

De golfbaan is uitstekend onderhouden, zowel fairways als greens lagen er uitstekend bij. Snelheid van de greens is hoog. Variatie is goed, korte en lange par viers, doglegs, blinde holes door hoogteverschillen en enkele leuke par drie's. De tweede negen holes duidelijk beter dan de eerste. Als je slechts negen holes wilt spelen kies dan hiervoor. De snelweg A30, welke vlakbij is, is hoorbaar, maar was voor mij niet storend.

In this area you are easily spoiled with all the fantastic hill courses. Fingle Glen is not the best, and the location next to the motorway and surrounded by holiday homes doesn't help, but it is certainly an enjoyable course. Especially the second half has some nice holes.

In dit gebied wordt je verwend door de vele fantastische heuvelbanen. Fingle Glen is niet de beste daarvan, en de locatie naast de snelweg en omringd door vakantiehuisjes draagt daar ook niet aan bij, maar het is zeker een leuke baan. Zeker bij de tweede helft zitten een aantal leuke holes.

Ich habe den Kurs ungefaehr 50 mal gespielt als ich in Exeter lebte: Herrliche Blicke zum Dartmoor, freundlicher Klub mit freundlichen Leuten, super Preis-Leistungsverhaeltnis; das ist jeden Penny wert ist. Der Kurs ist sehr hügelig und sehr angenehm und interessant zu spielen, mit weiten Fairways und nicht zu schwierig.

(in English): I have played the course about 50 times, when living in Exeter: Stunning views on Dartmoor, friendly staff and club, low prize fully worth every Penny. The course is hilly and highly pleasant and interesting to play, with wide fairways, and not too difficult.
