Cullinan Links Golf Club

De Cullinan Links golfcourse spelen is een bijzondere ervaring. Cullinan biedt een “all-inclusive” concept, spelen met (shared) buggy en eten & drinken als totaal concept met een uitstekende service (de driving range werkt nog wel met muntjes en zou prima in dit all-inclusive concept passen). Omdat Cullinan 36 holes (Aspendos en Olympic course) heeft, zijn wij voor het 2-rounds package (a €270 pp.) gegaan. Vandaag de Aspendos (par 72, 5.332 meter gele tee) gespeeld. Een vriendelijke course (4 par-3 holes van 95, 104, 117 en 144 meter en de langste par-5 a 447 meter) met op slechts 4 holes water echt in het spel. In totaal ca. 120 bunkers waarvan veel greenside bunkers. Het baanonderhoud is zee goed (vlakke teeboxen, gladde fairways en super maar niet eenvoudige greens). De ontvangst is zowel bij receptie als golfshop hartelijk. De keuze in golfsets huur is niet (al te) breed maar voldoende (€40 pd.). De buggy’s zijn schoon en redelijk nieuw. Bij vroege starttijden worden de flights vol geboekt, echter bij ons kwamen de andere twee spelers niet opdagen, zodat wij als tweebal 07.00u startte en goed konden doorspelen (binnen 3 uur weer in het clubhuis). Al met al (ook gezien de dikke-8 rating) een baan die je wilt spelen.

Cullinan is a well organized, well kept and well equipped golf club. It is 25 minutes driving distance from Antalya. Among the 15 golf courses and 10 golf clubs in Antalya-Belek, Cullinan sits at the west end, neighbored by National Golf Club. Cullinan Hotel, Cullinan Golf and Titanic Hotel belongs to same group. Cullinan Hotel is one of the top three goof hotels in Belek and it is relatively newly decorated. It has a great open buffet main restaurant and a number of other nice restaurants. Rooms are also very nice. Club has two courses. In the past Olympos has been the preferred one and Aspendos was shorter and easier. Due to the addition floodlights, back-9 of Aspendos now became back-9 for Olympos. Knowing both courses well, I can say now Aspendos is probably the better course. The course is well maintained. Fairways and greens are in good shape despite hundreds of players per day in high season. Olympos is mostly a flat course and easy to score low. The best thing about Cullinan is the clubhouse. I think it is now the no.1 clubhouse in Belek. Very cosy atmosphere, good food, a terrace with beautiful view of the course and the sea, well stocked pro shop and very clean changing rooms. The staff is very helpful and goof team is well organized.
