About Edese Golfclub Papendal
Edese Golfclub Papendal is located in the characteristic landscape of the Veluwe. The course is surrounded by woods and meadows. The beautiful golf course has naturally adapted to the landscape. The course has nice height differences and offers beautiful views. There are no water hazards but to compensate for this a lot of bunkers and in the summer tough rough. The golf club attaches great importance to nature and landscape and was one of the first clubs in the Netherlands to obtain the Committed to Green certificate. The golf club now has the GEO-CtG certificate. The club was founded in 1978. Edese Golfclub Papendal has a modern clubhouse and an excellent restaurant 'de Hofmeester' with a beautiful terrace.

"De Edese" GC PapendalPrima golfclub in schitterende omgeving. Voldoende variatie in de holes. Greens mooi en snel. Het was best druk, maar 't was ook prachtig weer! Ontvangst is prima en restaurant gewoon goed!! Zeker een aanrader

"De Edese" GC PapendalInteresting course but was struggling in places with the drought. Greens were still in good condition and good dinner after in the clubhouse.

"De Edese" GC PapendalDe eerste keer te gast bij de Edese GC, Na een vriendelijke ontvangst bij de receptie richting de driving range die ruim is opgezet met een open en overdekt gedeelte. Door een vriendelijke marshal van informatie voorzien over de baan. Het bleek een uitdagende baan zonder waterpartijen maar genoeg bunkers die het hindernisniveau compenseren. Zowel fairways als greens waren goed bespeelbaar. De gehele ligging van de baan is fraai, Met een acceptabel resultaat, dat meerdere spelers die dag vermoedelijk hadden, omdat er een pcc correctie op mijn score kwam en goed gevoel kwam ik van de baan. Na even napraten bij een erg net restaurant vol voldoening huiswaarts
Hallo ING1, Wat mooi dat een eerste kennismaking met de Edese meteen naar meer smaakt! Geen water om de schuld te geven van een verloren bal, maar onze bunkers en het glooiende terrein weten gelukkig voldoende andere manieren te vinden om een scorekaart interessant te houden. Fijn om te lezen dat niet alleen de baan en oefenfaciliteiten, maar ook de ontvangst door receptie en marshal én de afsluiting in ons clubhuis hebben bijgedragen aan een geslaagde golfdag. En een PCC-correctie? Dan heeft de Edese deze dag blijkbaar minder haar tanden laten zien. Dank voor de review. Nog vele mooie golfrondes gewenst! "De Edese" GC PapendalOndanks de lange droogte en hittegolven deze zomer is deze heuvelachtige golfbaan gelegen op de hogere zandgronden van de Veluwezoom naar omstandigheden nog in een prima conditie. hulde voor de greenkeepers. Hoop dat ze wel verstandig watermanagement toepassen. Voor nu is het een plezier om er weer eens een keer op te spelen
Beste 3driessen, Dank voor deze mooie en betrokken review! De aanhoudende droogte en hitte zorgen ook bij ons voor flinke uitdagingen en op sommige plekken voor zichtbare droogteschade. Des te fijner dat u de conditie van de baan én het harde werk van onze greenkeepers in deze moeilijke tijd weet te waarderen. "De Edese" GC PapendalOp een zondagavond is de baan rustig en groen en gevuld met vliegdennen. Prachtig. Wij speelden holes 10-18: je begint met een prachtige par 5 naar beneden. De par 3 maakt deze duo van holes een prachtige start voor je de weg over steekt. Daar aan de andere kant, verscholen in het bos, liggen fairways die elkaar kruisen en holes die verleiden om scherp te schieten (doen!) en de ogen weet te bedriegen. Wij vroegen ons regelmatig af: is het werkelijk nog 100 meter naar de vlag want het oogt toch echt als 150meter. 100 meter is toch dan echt 100 meter. Een zeer lange par 3 voor je naar hole 18 gaat is een pracht akkoord. Een mooie heide baan met een lekker terras... genieten.
Beste J Sietsma, Wat een mooie beschrijving van onze tweede negen! Op sommige holes geldt bij ons bij uitstek het golfadvies: “Trust the yardage, commit to the shot.” Want ook al probeert de golfbaan uw ogen te misleiden, 100 meter blijft inderdaad 100 meter. Fijn dat de afwisseling, de rust op zondagavond en het slotakkoord richting hole 18 zo in de smaak vielen. Na zo’n ronde is het terras natuurlijk de perfecte negentiende hole. 18 holesThe beautiful golf course has naturally adapted to the landscape. The course has nice elevation changes and provides beautiful views. There are no water hazards but, to compensate, very many bunkers and, in summer, tough rough. The first nine holes were built in 1984 under the architecture of Frank Pennink. The expansion to 18 holes took place in 1992 by Joan Dudok van Heel. A renovation was completed in 2008.
