About Real Club de Golf La Peñaza
Situated on the outskirts of Zaragoza, La Peñaza Golf Club has an 18-hole course. In comparison with the arid dry natural landscape which surrounds the course the club appears as a true oasis of greenery. Its carefully looked after vegetation, which has been growing now for 30 years, provides shelter for various species of animal and is delightful to look at. The course has a par of 72 and is moderately difficult. In 1999 a major reform of the greens and foregreens was undertaken and the result is a highly technical course which rewards the accurate player more than the big hitter. When the north wind is blowing, the course becomes extremely difficult for players of all kinds. The 9th hole is worth a special mention; its length and the prevailing wind make it the most difficult of the course. It has water tanks on one side, a bunker to the left and a group of pine trees on the right. The fairway is uphill so you will need to hit a clean drive. The 12th hole is also worthy of mention, a par-3 of 180 m. with a very raised tee. This hole becomes one of the most dangerous of the course on windy days, because the wind comes at you head on and it is extremely difficult to reach the green on the first shot. Opened in 1973, the La Peñaza Golf Club has, in addition to its 18 holes, other facilities such as swimming pools, tennis and paddle courts, and covers an area of 100 hectares.

Club De Golf La PeñazaGolf course in great shape and very friendly staff both at the Restaurant and at the course. Although the playing pace was terrible, more than 5 hours to play 18 holes. They do not have a Marshall nor a Starter, they have very nice sand in all the bunkers but again they do not have enough rakes to keep them in good shape, what a shame....It is a pity not being enough smart to know what this golf business is about. Overall the course is very enjoyable and the members I played with were really welcoming.
Club De Golf La PeñazaAu sud de Saragosse, proche d'un aéroport et d'une zone d'activité dont des plateformes logistiques, l'arrivée au golf est plus que déroutante. En d'autres termes les alentours sont franchement moche. Mais une fois entré dans le golf quelle surprise ! le club house est splendide, l'accueil très chaleureux, les infrastructures au top (magnifique practice). On a l'impression d'être dans un écrin de verdure protégé, quel contraste avec l'extérieur. J'ai rarement vu un terrain aussi bien entretenu. les fairways sont splendides, les greens magnifiques et très roulants avec quelques petites pentes diaboliques. Le parcours est très jouable, même si certains trous sont très longs. C'est un réel plaisir de jouer sur un parcours de cette qualité.
