HawtreeVriendelijke ontvangst, GF goede prijs/kwaliteit! Vriendelijke ontvangst, behulpzame medewerkers. Practice OK en prima oefen faciliteiten. Leuk terrein in uitstekende staat, mooie fairways, bunkers en tee boxen lagen er goed bij. Greens snel en correct maar niet altijd evident om een 3 put te vermijden. Baan is lang met enkele par 4’s die moeilijk haalbaar zijn in regulation maar de meeste kun je mits goede en juiste afslagen wel halen in regulation. Par 5’s zijn het makkelijkst te halen. Par 3’s zijn pittig en vandaag stonden de vlaggen op moeilijke plaatsen ingeplant. Het is niet de meest gevarieerde baan die ik speelde maar heb er wel plezier aan beleefd en daar gaat het om. Na afloop lekkere cappuccino gedronken op het heerlijke terras.

HawtreeWe played Hawtree in the rain, but it did not have any signs the terrain would suffer from the rain. The teeboxes were in perfect condition, the greens were perfect and fast, even in the rain. Great course and challenging enough for any player.
The only thing that is missing are shelters along the course and water points, only 1 after 9 holes, that's not enough. (that's why I didn't give a 10 ;-))
The driving range is mostly covered (handy when it"s raining) but no green practice, a pity. The mats were a little bit dated and you have to use a QR code or coins to get balls, a simple credit card scanner would have been perfect. The balls are to be changed, typical low quality range balls, this course deserves real golf balls!
The clubhouse is a small chateau and the service and food were delightful. Special thanks to the guys in the shop for their super friendly welcome!
It's a golf club that overflows with tranquility and is just great to play.
PS: the dressing rooms in the catacombes of the chateau are just fantastic.
