Where do I start? First of all I'm a great fan of Harry Colt courses, the one I play the most is De Pan in Utrecht, The Netherlands that course is squeezed into about 50 hectares, the courses at Sunningdale absolutely not. Maybe this is one of the most impressive features of this club, the huge amount of space and quiteness these courses are situated. The design of the New Course (1923) is amazing it's like walking into a museum and every hole is a new van Gogh or Rembrandt that you see for the first time. The par 3's are of an excellent quality and the par 5 with a little creek on the right going uphill is just breathtaking. Also the Iconic tree in front of the clubhouse that doubles as the logo made a lasting impression on me. The hospitality and the rental clubs at the pro-shop was amazing. We could chose from (all brandnew) Titleist AP1 or AP2's, Callaway Rogues, Taylor Made M3 & M4's. also we were supplied with Scotty Cameron putters where the plastic was still on so need I go on? I felt like a kid in a candy store. So the only thing what's left is to come back and play the Old Course I also recommend you not to play these fabulous courses on the same day, they are simply to beautiful to make it a rush 36 in a day job. Stay in a nice bed & breakfast and play 1 at a time and in Surrey you can easily stay 2 or 3 weeks there are plenty of nice courses around.
