As the best rated golf course in Marrakech I expected a lot from it... however it just did not meet my expectations. The course itself is in very good playing condition with very nice fairways and great greens which were very fast and very tricky! While the course itself is still a pleasure to play and the layout is very good it did not have that "wow" or "something special" effect for me. One of many courses where in a few months time I wont remember most of the holes. That is solely my personal opinion. The golf course is still well worth playing if you are in Marrakech but if you ask me it is just another typical resort golf course without soul or character which you can find everywhere on the globe. On some holes wasteland is a nightmare... if you miss the ball left of the green on 5th hole and your ball rolls of the green into the wasteland you need to have Phil Mickelson's phone number to help you get it out on highly elevated green properly as the "sand" is like concrete! There should be proper bunker there, not just wasteland by the green. Hole number 10 par 5 is also unfair if the course plays as hard as it did when we played it... the whole fairway leans to the left towards the water end even if you hit your second shot perfectly straight on the right edge of the fairway only luck will prevent the ball from rolling into the water because there is no rough between the water and the fairway which should stop your ball, just concrete hard grass! Considering the whole resort the clubhouse is very small with tiny locker rooms and I guess no one uses the showers there as there was no shower gel in any of the showers. The pro-shop also need logo balls. Recommended if you are looking for a quality golf course in Marrakech.
