This course is special for players who also want a beautiful environment. This bushveld golfcourse with views on the Magaliesberg and close to the Hartbeespoort Dam is full of bird species and various game as impala, gnoe, etc.
The course is an old British course previous 9 holes and in 1990 extended to 18 holes. A golf-cart is recommended and the course measures nearly 6200m for the man's tee. Accommodation is close by and the surrounding are beautiful. Hole 4(par 5) indicate the course lay-out teeing up high and runs into the valley as the green is more or less on the same level as the tee-box so you 3rd shot is uphill again. Hole 10 is the difficult one dogleg right by playing over the edge of a dam. All staff helpful and friendly and 19th hole enjoyable.

A typical SA course... a bit more that €10 to play a round, unbelievably cheap for a European norm. This golf course you could sure have a love-hate relationship with. A heck of a lot of elevation differences on many holes. A good number of blind shots. You need to keep straight of you could be looking long for a gone ball. Outside the fairways it was pretty grotty in places. The high elevated tees on many holes really invited a good swing.. but make sure it's straight, or reload. The good friendly reception by the caddy-master wasn't matched I'm afraid in the restaurant. It seemed that the (coloured) waitresses were carrying chips on their shoulders. Something we didn't experience at other places in South Africa. We were also following a flight of 4 big mouthed Afrikaners that kept swearing aloud at every poor ball.. they were just as loud and obnoxious in the clubhouse. The fact that this was not too far from Pretoria could be the difference in the type of people you meet.
