The Wanderers Golf Club

Club in great condition and well worth a visit.

An 18 hole par 71 parkland course, which has a nice greenfee and located in the centre of Jo-burg close to the Sandton area. The course is not that difficult and the number of hazards are limited. Practice facilities not optimal but you are able to do minor shots before tee-off. The course is a bit undulated but trolley play possible. Because the limited hazards good score is possible. Be careful with chipping due to the Kikuya grass stops your ball and not rolling on the green. 19th hole available and relax after your good round.

Nice and cheap golf course close to sandton city. The driving range is not that long and pressed in between two holes. Great chipping and putting green tough. Greens need some love sometimes, but can be really good and quick. Some nice elevation changes during the round and the only real hazard are a few ponds and some trees lined between the different holes. All in all an enjoyable experience for the money, play can get slow when its busy.

Personal: Sehr freundlich

Teeoff times: Frühzeitig anrufen, Einzelspieler jederzeit möglich

Besonderheiten: liegt in mitten der Stadt und ist leicht erreichbar, hochfrequente tiert, lange Wartezeiten auf der Runde möglich

Preis / Leistung: sehr gut.

Next to the famous cricket ground this is one of Johannesburg's more accessible city centre courses. There are a few very difficult holes, especially the 1st - a tough Par 5. Overall it feels like a golf course you should score well on... but trees and a little water can catch you out. Excellent bar and great golf club food. Love the pies at halfway.
