Jackal Creek Golf Estate

Played here once before, really happy with my experience. If you hit it far you will score very well, felt like there was a lot of places to miss, that being said, nice layout not extremely hard, but can be. Conditions were underwhelming thought they would be better, but they were still really good and enjoyable. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the course and would recommend happily!

Although there is no water supply to irrigate the fairways, they are in reasonably good condition, but they dry out quickly in winter and burn without rain. Bunkers are very inconsistent, some with plenty sand others hard as concrete although some efforts are being made to improve the bunkers. Greens are always good, and usually run true and quick but, it is however very annoying that some golfers don't repair their pitch marks on the greens.

I enjoy playing this course and have been doing so for many years.

Unfortunately since they hollowtine the course earlier this year. They seemed to the grass on the greens to grow a bit thicker than usual. Which meant playing on slower greens.

They used to have green speeds of 11 or 12 most weeks. Not so any longer.

If you are looking a good teaching pro I highly recommend Dylan de Beer. He has helped me a lot with my game.

So I am from Joburg and I use to play in this course until now. They just changed the price and et just say that now they are more expensive than the other courses in Joburg who are better maintained. They bought these luxurious golf kart and i think that they are realising that it was a mistake so now they make people pay a lot for a course who is average and the maintenance is really average (check the tee off... lol).

Anyway too bad but thats how it is when a club is badly managed.

Magnifique parcours dans un estate où les villas ne sont pas trop proches. Dessin varié avec des trous en aveugle mais sans être piégeux. Entretien remarquable, greens très rapides et réceptifs. Parcours un peu long a jouer à pieds mais vous avez le temps pour voir les chacals. Prix du green fee 10€, meilleur rapport qualité prix.
